Evaluation
Evaluation is a vital part of any new programme, requiring impartial,
informed and experienced individuals to be involved throughout, not
just on completion.
The consultants at Inspire Research Ltd have the necessary skills to
ensure a systematic evaluation strategy is applied, giving you an impartial
and comprehensive overview of achievements as well as lessons learned
to inform future decisions.
Consultancy
As consultants, we can help at every stage of a project – from
idea generation and tender preparation to project management, research
design, evaluation and dissemination.
We can also offer expertise and advice to your organisation on aspects
of learning and teaching especially using ICT.
We can work with your staff to establish their learning needs and find
appropriate solutions, or to ‘train the trainers’ by helping
them get to grips with new learning environments – this could
include online facilitation, staff development events, or preparing
support materials for self-study.
Research
Previously, the consultants have completed scoping studies, sector
wide surveys, and development projects for a range of clients such as
European funding bodies (EC, ESF); UK educational agencies (JISC, SHEFC);
Government departments (DfES, HSE); as well as working closely with
business.
We have experience of many research methodologies, covering both quantitative
and qualitative techniques. These include purpose-designed questionnaires
(used online or off), case studies, in-depth interviews (conducted face-to-face,
over the phone, or online), direct observation, content analysis (e.g.
of online discussions) and others. Where appropriate, we can also undertake
suitable statistical analysis. We would be happy to discuss your research
needs, to help find the perfect solution.
Partnerships
We would be delighted to talk to you if you are looking for a partner
with complementary skills to contribute to a project or tender. We have
worked with many partners including HE and FE institutions in the UK,
Europe and further a field; educational agencies; SME’s; Government
departments etc.

Event management
Inspire Research also offer event management services, including online
conferences and other online events (e.g. seminars, workshops etc).
We are currently organising an International online conference "Assessment
design for learner responsibility" ; sponsored by the REAP (Re-engineering
Assessment Practices in Scottish Higher Education) project, and have
previously managed the running of online seminars and workshops in various
online environments.
